Afternoon.

I've been playing around creating a main character for a Metroidvania that's been an idea for too long.

My inspiration comes from Symphony of the Night, I adore those characters and the style they're drawn in and I've been working on my own pieces with that in mind.

I have fumbled around with pixel art here and there but never seriously tried to learn until recently.

The main thing I am curious about is readability,although any critique or advice will be greatly appreciated.

This is the main pose and I am going for an Amazon or very healthy/fit/strong character, someone who has been well looked after in the woods most her life.

Is that how she comes across?

Edit: Cleaned up a few errors I noticed like a leftover pixel I forgot to erase and the buckle I wasn't quite sold on;

Cleaned her up a bit tried to make her more natural. Will redo the hairflip after work tomorrow.

This is a small Hair flip intended to try and give her some personality

This is my attempt at making it less robotic, although, i'm having trouble figuring out how the rest of her body should move

I realize her boobs are quite big, I'm pretty sure I will scale them down.

Thank you for your time.

1. the animation is bit jerky. Would win from more frames, and some pauses.
2. it looks robotic, usually human move whole body even for small actions. Here is an example of girl moving her hair: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2Qfln81rgo

Hah. I just watched that whole vid of a girl doing her hair. Did not expect.

Thanks for replying, I see what you mean, I will play with it and try to make her look a bit more fluid.
