This is my first attempt at a character turn around any criticism on how to improve it or the character in general would be very helpful here are a few designs off this base

I continued toying with the dwarf guy and made a turn around for him too props are hard

The rotation looks fine. Although these characters are overly dark, so if you place that already dim dwarf in a poorly lit cave, it would be impossible to notice him.  |

| makes sense, I have never been really good at pallete creation and I tend to dislike overly saturated and bright colors since they invoke infant toys to me... I'll try making a better pallete |

I ended up with more colors but I think I have a better pallete:
Beard is red now and buckle is gold and I think overall it is more readable in the scene you provided

I'll try making a better pallete I doesn't have to be over saturated. It has to be contrast. Like black font over a white paper. If you put gray font over a gray paper, it will be unreadable. Same way, you can have overly saturated green font over oversaturated yellow background, which would not be much more readable either.   |

changed the pallete slightly here is everything recolored
EDIT: Noticed a inconsistency in the beard so I fixed it 
EDIT: Fixed the beard some more, and fixed the belt perspective...made the backpack brighter to contrast the shirt |
