Hi guys!
I´ve been into Pixel art for years now, but only as a fan, and I hasn't been until recently that I´ve decided to put myself to work. This is my 3rd work I think, and in my head is done, but something is telling me that it can be better. My biggest issue at the moment I think is shadowing, but you can judge that: 
I want to know your opinion on the background as well, since I´m not sure if it works or not. I guess the tattoo can be fixed as well... Anyways, please let me know what you think and what can be improved. Thanks! BTW, this piece is inspired by Yiku Shimizu, and the posture of the woman is pretty much the same one. |

The image is very noisy, it hurts brain to look at, especially these white rectangles on the wall. The dragon tattoo is very noisy too. Consider reducing the amount of detail, and the contrast of unimportant objects. That applies not just to pixelart art, but to any art. Good example would be studying classic propaganda art, like the one of USSR and Nazi Germany. It is always very readable and to the point, so even the dumbest kolkhoz workers will get it. Japanese art is also good at managing details. Here background objects just black, even the iconic Japanese Sun is covered to avoid stealing attention (the watercolor palette is also much less aggressive):  |

Hi there!
I see your point. I can see that I over did the background a little, so it took out the attention from the focal point. Regarding the palette, I was just trying to use the same colors that I had in the woman to not create new ones. Here is a quick remodel removing the details in the background, adjusting the palette and cleaning the tattoo:

Looks better, but I would use "tamer" colours for the tattoo, as if "mixing" with the skin colour. Also, this might be a stylistic choice, but she might need a little more neck - or is it just me? Still, nice work!

Now her hair blends into background. This can be fixed with outline or picking a more contrast black color.  |

Ok, some changes have been done:
-Adjusted the background color. Now it looks more "vintage" in my opinion. - Adjusted the color of the hair to make it differentiated from the background. -Adjusted the color of the tattoo. 
I really like this one. |
