CHALLENGE: Crayolablind

After moulding 1.4 billion crayola crayons, Emerson Moser revealed that he is color blind. Obviously this didn't hold him back! This week, we want you to create a piece that involves something related to at least one of the color names below, using these 8 crayola colors, plus "paper" white (#ffffff).

Canvas Size - Max. 300 x 200 (vertical or horizontal)
Colours - Max. 9 (The colors below)


Transparency - No.
Animation - No.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp - submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8 - WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

Super rusty with pixel art, so I felt like I should join in this time. Decided to take heavy inspiration from Yoshi's Island, which immediately came to my mind when I saw the theme, as it's one of my favorite video games. I'm nearly finished with my own piece, I'm just not certain yet which of these I should go with for the sky, so I figured I'd ask for feedback.



Which background do you think suits the image the best? Are there any other elements of the image you think still need work? Feedback is, of course, greatly appreciated.

This palette is fantastic!

I was thinking, "one of the colors' name is 'white' so.. I can just pixel something that is normally white or bright I guess... xD"

And its greens look just too fun!
