So hi I am trying to make a mad scientist but I was having problems with the lower part of his gown, it looks weird?

Well I think it's a little too short, a lab coat usually goes down to right above someone's knees. Also the angled split makes it look like it's curving slightly, whenever gravity should be pulling it straight down.

Your arms (particularly the shoulder to elbow) also seem to be too long, but that might just be a stylistic choice on your part.

I don't know if the arms were longer but I don't really know but I think they should be longer from the elbow to the hand and mine's were the opposite way but yeah you were right, this is my edit what do you think?

The lab coat looks better. I think his right arm looks a bit awkward now with how it's positioned and since you can't see his hand.

Also, his left forearm that's holding the potion is now a bit too long. The length of the shoulder -> elbow should be the same length as the elbow -> wrist.

Yes, I think that looks better. If you want to improve it more you could add some shading to the pants/shoes, similar to how you did on the gown. Maybe some highlights in the hair, too.
