I think it's the entire lion that is weird, the proportions are strange...
I find this http://how2drawanimals.com/8-animals/252-draw-lion-cub.html?limitstart=0 - guide for draw a lion cub and even if it's not pixel art I think will be useful.

Well, the body of the lion is gonna be more cylindrical, flatter at the belly and narrower at the top where the spine is. That means that a standard light-source coming from the top right would hit the top and upper side of the body and throw shadows on the lower part where it curves into the belly, Yours right now looks like its being hit by a light-source standing horizontal to it, making it look very flat.

Sorry my reply took so long.Does this looks better? I'm not good with anatomy and lighting and I tried finding an easy way to get things done like model a low poly lion cub add light source and then draw but now I know there is no easy way out.

Well me neither , anatomy is the most difficult thing in my opinion, because muscles and facial expressions...the only way is to try and try and try and so far...

A lot better actually, but still a bit off. You should look at some pictures or drawings of lions to see how their muscle groups throw shadows and how other artists chose to represent them, so you can further refine the shading.

Yeah you're right, thanks for the drawing tutorial PC PIXEL and I don't know about your skills in anatomy but your drawings look nice the lighting is convincing
