Hi! Is the side view strict or can it be lightly tilted?

Tried doing a side-view of a harpoon gun, had to take some liberties in order to show the arrow point though. Not sure if it's worth being submitted, any C&C is welcome!

Edit:

Will update this post if and when i make more stuff for the challenge, don't want to spam up the thread.

Tried my hand at a sword, my shading's not very good though;

Edit:

A quick update of various things attempted at the angle specified by the challenge;

Not sure if the chess pieces count though, since technically they're round...

I wanted to create an alien weapon based on super soakers.

I like it, but I feel like I could change some things, particularly the shading in the plasma chamber at the top.

It's supposed to be a side view, but I think the bubbles and glass shading might make it look like its more at an angle.

Any advice or critiques are welcome, thank you.

Edit:

I've edited it so the liquid in the gun looks thicker but still translucent, and so that it reads more as a side view instead of at an angle.

Which do you think looks better?
What would you change or add?

Hello! I'm working on a piece but I want to know if it respects the challenge subject ?

I will continue by adding the other smoky light going up and details on the body, but leave the background with one color.

Also, is animation mandatory? I was thinking to animate the smoke.

Waiting for the confirmation that it can enter the challenge or not. And if you have some feedbacks on the artwork so far I'm not against.

Thanks!

Hey! I almost finished my work. I'm wondering if it's better with shadows or not on the smoke. What do you think?

Also do you confirm it can be taken as a side view for the challenge ? Even if I turned it more into some kind of illustration? (with the circle and the smoke)

Shadows definitely look better to me.

Yes it'll be accepted to the challenge.
