I've been peer-pressured by shm31 to get back to pixel art and actually finish some of the countless pieces i've started over the years.
This one started last november, it's way too big and very far from being done.
Terrible idea to make it this big, terrible idea to not make a palette from scratch and pick a readily available one. Though apparently I have one free color left.

Current state:

Love the colors man!

Not sure if it translates to digital art but, Form>Shade/Hue>Texture for the clothing. Idk how well that translates to pixel art.

Thanks!
And you're definitely right and it seems to apply to pixel art really well.
tbf I haven't spent much time thinking about the overall clothing form because I couldn't figure out how to make it work with the current hand pose. And I was reluctant to get rid of the hand because I really liked the shape. But oh well, sacrifices. Trying other hand poses, not sure yet but as soon as I lock it, then back to blocking the clothes!

(don't mind too much the contrast, I never calibrated my screen tablet so right now what is shown is incorrect)

This is a huge undertaking!! Do you have a plan for the clothes that will guarantee you remain interested in them?
You started with the face, but that of course is the 'fun' part! (and very well done)
