You are welcome to be inspired by an existing style/sprite, as long as you don't actually use an existing sprite as a base. It has to be 100% original work. Other than that, you can do whatever you like. Design, redesign, stick close to the original but with a twist or do something completely different! |

I think it looks great already! I don't have a specific pointer, but to me there are a few things that look odd and could perhaps be redone: The shoes, the shading on the tail, the shading on the moustache. I certainly do love the pose, the shading on his dungarees and his hidden face! Very good start! |

This is my daughter's first attempt at some pixel art (she's 9). It's Cool Luigi:  She'd like some advice on how to make Cool Luigi even more cool :-) |

To make him even cooler, maybe add some shadow or an outline so we can see where his nose is. And maybe move his sunglasses further down so they're not on the top of his head. Or give him dragon wings. Whichever is cooler. |
