CHALLENGE: Mirrepeople Portraits

It's MerMay everyone! This week's challenge, brought to you by Mirre, is to make a protagonist and an antagonist that are merpeople (ex: mermaids, mermen, sirens, selkies, etc).
 
 
Taking inspiration from games such as Stardew Valley and CrossCode, design a dialogue portrait/bust for one protagonist, and one antagonist. Each portrait 80x96px using one of the provided palettes, no mixing the palettes between them. You have to use palette https://lospec.com/palette-list/merfolk11-1 - MERFOLK11-1 for one portrait and https://lospec.com/palette-list/merfolk11-2 - MERFOLK11-2 for the other portrait.
Adding a few pixel wide or transparent frame to each portrait is allowed.
 
 
Canvas Size - Exactly 160x96px horizontal (two portraits of 80x95px).
Colors - Max 22 (using both of the provided palettes - one for each portrait).
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - No.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to suggest a future week's challenge. If you're a winner and you wish to submit your idea, send a message to https://pixeljoint.com/p/27498.htm' target='_blank'>Gecimen.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)
