The Nitty-Gritty We've got some great emoticons here at PJ, however not a overly big selection... So it is time that you, the community, do something about that. Rules:
Restrictions:
 This template belongs to Blueberry Pie, so if you are going to submit your emoticon to the gallery, give credit where credit is due. (No need to necissarily stick to this template) The Fine Print: Entries should have a transparent background and must be a GIF format. Not all emoticons will be accepted. Do your best. if they are of poor quality, or just "dumb", they will not be accepted. Remember, these will be used here on the forum, and on the main site, and none of us want to see a load of crappy looking emotes all over. This is NOT a WiP thread. @mod: you should still add some face to that, like maybe a "questioning" emotion. but it still kicks ass! @vidd: you need to seperate those and update that post please. and make the jpeg compression a little bit more obvious. great start ------------- There's a pubic hair on my keyboard. Because that wouldn't be pixel-art and I felt against it. :X
I did, though, test it in Photoshop to see what it would be like and it was surprisingly similar. I feel actually making it a bad quality .jpg detracts from the point as an emoticon; people aren't likely to save it in that degree of compression, anyway.

hmmm... it just looks like a bad emote. Maybe it need a thought bubble with jpeg in text in it. Or the face goes from sharp pixels (smiling) to a jpeg'd version (sad) animation?

personally i prefer the first boxes you did. they are small and simple. with the faces you will have to add something stating what they are, making it bigger
