this picture was rejected before and some people made fun of it for not looking like pixel art :-( it really sucked. I've since deleted those comments and the picture and took a deep breath to calm myself.

anyways, I reworked it, do you think it'll be accepted now? I guarantee I made it entirely with mspaint!

I happened to catch your last version and it had a bunch of blocks like it was exported from a JPEG. I think that might have been the issue. It looks good to me. Nice work.

yeah I remember it was all jpg'd up. This one would look even better without that super dark background on it too

I use mspaint and don't know how to make backgrounds transparent so I usually just pick colours I think make it POP. I kinda like the brown-blue combo, sorry.

I hate to agree with pixelblink (the bastard), but I usually don't go for solid color backgrounds either. It usually just looks cheesy against the background color of a web page.

It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to spice up a bg a little. Look at a couple of flaber's recent submissions...
