Hey there.  Can anyone take a look at my two pending pieces, "Kobara" and "MoleSys," and tell me why they aren't being accepted?  Thanks a ton!

Don't think the issue quite warrants a cross-posting.

But be patient, sometimes approval takes a couple days to process.

I see you've posted in the WIP category. You'll only get crits if you actually show us the pieces here. Then we can help you to make them approve-worthy, which i doubt should be too hard. Good luck.

Well I also posted in the 'Resources and Support' section but they said to post here.

The message I got for both of them was 'REVISION NEEDED BEFORE APPROVAL,' and the PM said that 'For some miscellaeneous reason these were not acceptable' (para-phrasing, obviously).  Here they are:

"Kobara"

"MoleSym"

Thanks a lot for your help, everyone; frankly, I don't even know if I'm posting correctly or what; if not, I won't be offended if this post gets deleted or some such thing.  :P

EDIT:  Those ARE transparent .png's; I used my PhotoBucket account for sake of this post, but for some reason it doesn't maintain transparent data.  But the backgrounds were transparent when I submitted them on PJ.

Many browsers don't support PNG transparency. Take mine, for example. I suggest turning them into gifs if you intended to have transparency.

On "Kobara" I would change the black lines to a less dark color and define a lighsource. On "MoleSym" I would make the antialiasing more apparent.

Totally offtopic but your sig for pixel art has a bout 200 million extra colors in it. Oh and nice ripped cacodemon.

I <3 cacodemon.
My userbars aren't pixel art (clearly)... just photoshopped userbars.  Dashingly uninventive on my part, if I do say so myself!  I was just playing with Photoshop tutorials, ended up with those.  But you're right, ripping is no good, so gone.
But I'll miss my Cacodemon.  ;-;

@Monkey - I'm trying to give MoleSym as much of a neon lineart feel as I can, but you're right, I definetely need to work on the AA.  If I only do it on the inside, though, will it defeat the purpose?

Dumb question.  I'll just try it.  Thanks all!

Why are they at 2X? I would send them back just for that :/

Good point, Jalonso.  Okay, reworked Kobara; got the palette down to about 20 (which still feels like a lot for some reason), kept it at 1x, redefined the light source, and re-coloured outlines.  Thanks for the help, everyone!

fyi, I've noticed all your pixels are submitted at 2X. The reason I personally never approve such things is because it eliminates the ability to see how the pixels work at 1X which is very important in evaluating pixelart. PJ supplies the zoom feature for a reason.
