The thing that stands out to me first is that he appears to have one leg. At this angle I think we would still be able to see his right leg. I am guessing that the shape between the two hands is his right foot, but it isn't connected to anything.

If this islike a gorilla type of creature then I think the brow should be lowered and more pronounced, to give him that ape-ish appearance. Also, I think that while the angle of his left hand is pretty good, the right hands angle seems strange. And finally, I feel that the fingers are a bit long. If you look at a gorilla, they walk with their hands not as fists, but almost in a palm strike sort of position, so that they are walking using their 2nd part of the finger to distribute the weight rather than on a fist.

I think that the hairy parts look pretty good right now, and the overall shape gets across what you are going for, but try looking at a few pictures of actual gorillas for a good reference on the stance and other features.

Ha, I wrote all that and for all I know it isn't even supposed to be an ape at all.

his hands look like those sock'em boxers thingys.  lol.  maybe add some shading and texture so they look less like inflatable hands.

Looks a lot better. The brow is better, everything is better, really. The only two things that are bugging me still is that his fingers on his right hand look a little strange to me and right foot still looks like it's coming from nowhere. His waist is very tiny.

Other than that it's really coming together, and again those are just my opinions. I hope we get to see some facial features with the next update.

Yes, its more interesting a shade, imo. I have to agree with zetabot on the rear leg. maybe some hint of a hip back there or something :/

Looks much better, but I think you should make a part of the hip visible behind the arm, because it does look like the foot is just hanging in midair.

On a different note, did you get inspired by the mantarilla? (made by helm i beleive) Just wondering, because it's the same posture, both beasts have the same body structure.. etc.

Damn, overwrit the file on upload :<

Thanks, Colours aren't my strong point.  I played around a little with the skeleton, and really, cos the hips are so small, the arm seems to cover it no matter what, although if people think otherwise, feel free to doodle over mine, and I'll see what it looks like, cos otherwise I'll stick with

On that differnet note, I don' think I've seen it, I kinda just made this up as I went. :>

Wel, to me at least, with the way you drew the "skeleton"  the top half of his body is twisted, like it is not facing the same way as his bottom half. Part of what may help that is again, messing with the lower half a little more. His legs connect directly underneath the waist and they are touching. The legs could stand to be a little more spread apart where they meet the body. Maybe with the feet around a distance of what you have the shoulders at. Looking at a human, or even a gorilla skeleton if you can find one, would help.

Also, and I know I am being a pain here, I think his feet could be a little bigger. His hands are very large but his feet don't really look like they would support him too well.

OK, after looking at a few skeletons on gorillas I'm still not sure I should widen the hips, the feet definatly need work though, which I'll get on ASAP.

You are right about the skeleton and how the leg is positioned. However since its a glaring thing that most viewers can get past. Maybe a solution is to bend the leg at the knee just enough to show a bit. Since you are reworking the feet. Maybe the back leg is bent forward a bit and the other leg bent back, as if in mid stride. Just a thought...

Its gone down hill, cos I'm so bloomin cold.  But i've added a knee to the other leg, maybe it shows a little better now?

ALSO, still redoing the feet, I can't seem to shade at this temperature.

That little bit of knee has helped it a gazillion times over. The foot to our right could use more of a \ rather than a |

With the ears pointing that far out you'll need to show the other one's tip too.
