Yeah, something I've been working on for... about a week. It's exam week, so the going is really slow, but here's what I've got so far.

First off, to be specific, how would I go about adding texture to the carpet?

And, for those who don't know, what would be some useful things inside a building that could be a shop or house or who knows what. Think MMORPG, and medieval at that. So no jukeboxes =P

-note- this is not the actual tileset, just a throw-together of what I've got.

nice so far i think its nice what u have here, to texture the carpet just
get a slightly darker shade of each colour and put random little dots
to make it seem rougth, as carpets arnt smoth. but u also have to
makeshore it tiles well so do it hen check if theres any sticking if
there r fix it ect ect

and for extra items... spear racks? shelves? stools and tables 4 a
bar? theres tones o stuff, it could b a training dummy shop if ya likes

I see this is for GGRPG. :D  Im liking thus far.

EDIT: Texture can be adde by putting more shades, aka more than one, for each pattern.  By dithering, like you did for the walls, you can get a good texture. :D

Haha, a training dummy shop...awesome.

Kay, I'll try adding some more shades in, see what it looks like.
