I've been listening to too much BÖC =/

Feel free to comment, especially on the fire. It's my first time trying to sprite fire so I could really use some help with it.

Yeah. Its what I got out of the imagery in Blue Öyster Cult's "Fire of Unknown Origin".

If someone here did a pixeled work of that album's cover I would just die, I'm too lazy to do it myself... It would be good inspiration to work with, of course anything from BOC is.

Yeah, a lot of BÖC's stuff has great imagery. But back on topic, does the fire look ok?

Kill the saturated green background and develop the flames more. Give them a smoother appearance and more form. You don't call them "tongues of fire" because they look like little dots and lines going up, do you?

The person needs some anatomy work and detailing. I couldn't tell what it was until skull guessed it. I thought it was some sort of elemental creature facing the other direction.

Your colors also need some work. The fire looks very opaque and not interesting; a fix of the colors would help that a lot.

When you said BOC for a moment I thought you were referring to Boards of Canada!

MoD's right, I had no way of knowing what this was without being told, it looks too much like a stick figure. Plus, surely someone who was on fire would be incredibly lit up instead of just a silhouette.

Yeah, I haven't gotten to adding on the clothes and stuff, thus why he is black. I wanted to get the flames right first. Also, I tried smoothing out the flames and it didn't look too good. Do you have any suggestions on how to do so?
