i don't like it's outcome, but i can't do it much better. i am thinking of changing the feet, because it doesn't look right to me...

any suggestions to make this better? i can't think of any right now.

I am not a pro at this but it seems to be that the image colors could be toned down a tad.  Hope that is what you want to hear.  Ciao!

are you saying i should use less colors? i could do that... thanks for the comment

No no, not at all.  Im just saying that instead of a bright yellow, perhaps tone it down to not as bright a color.  Then again, if your whole idea hinges on the colors, then Im sure what you have done will suffice.  Keep up the good work.

the problem is the armor of protoss zealots are a bit shiny... but i'll try something on this.

you can use a Yellow not so shiny... and make the armos with some detailas like this

click it sometimes until you see what i made but i'll tell you

-Lowered the bright of the yellow
-Made some lines to make it shiny

just repit that and it'll look good by my point of view

a critic:
- Make the torso fatter o.o, it doesn't look good

shiny isn't made from pillowshading and low contrast saturated colors, its made from contrast. I lost intrest in the edit around the legs, but I reduced the color count and revamped most of the shading

the legs and feet are abit odd, they seem to curve rather than bend, but the rest of the linework is really great

wow... thanks for editing my work, and it really looks cool. you can find images of protoss zealots in the internet, and the legs are really that long. i really had the problem on drawing the feet because it looked like a horse hoof, but the middle is curved... i'll try doing that myself later...

that's fanart, and not official art. i did make it from an uncolored version of that one (most details on the art are the same in there), but i also compared it to http://www.solidimagearts.com/toy_model/Protoss.jpg - this . is it too long?

i rather use  http://www.beranr.webzdarma.cz/images/galerie/protoss.jpg - this image for references.

your version is bulkier then the toy model, and yes has too long legs.
his armour looks different as well

whew... finished, at last. it looks very good to me... if you'd compare this one to what setzer did, it's different on some places, but some details are almost the same. now i'm lazy and just pasted the done side and put it on the other side. i also tried some selout on this one. any comments or suggestions on improving this?

That's a great improvement! The outlining looks particularly jaggy around the legs though. Use a lighter colour and I think it will look better. The feet also look very strange, using colors that you used nowhere else. Try to just use the regular yellow colors, or the blues.

hmmm... maybe i'll make a yellow shade on the foot colors...

edit: finished. i just noticed that i didn't selouted the feet...
