NO MORE CHANGES TO TEMPLATE NOW!

Ok the idea is simple You can create your own carriage, from this template, (add humans, graffity, 1th class or 4th class (yes that did once exist)) On 30 july, the best carriage will be chosen (poll, judge, not shure yet) the winner may make the locomotive, the one on second place can do the car with the coals... Without template
Offcourse later there can be added more carriages :)

TEMPLATE:

If you dont know what to make, or you want a more strict template, you are allowed to use these lines.

One thing I notice is that the large train car template is inaccurate: the bars that connect the wheels are connected to the wheels at a point distant from the center, so they keep the wheels they connect synchronized. So it should be something like this:

Not true.. They do this on the locomotive, so you can put your engine just on 1 pair of wheels, and then you have the grip of 3 pairs, since 3 or 2 pairs are rolling. but for the wagons, its just for the show. There is no engine in it, its pulled so the wheels will roll automaticly.. So no, this isnt right ;)

No, the big one. The small one is for illustration purposes, and is not the template for this activity.

I might try this later, it's a good idea (although the train will probably look like a mess when put together)

I think the colab as a whole would be better if we used the small one.  I think more people would do it, and the train would look better.

I like the idea though. We just need lots of people doin it. Not including me because i'm a lazy hipocrite.

It's two of the templates side by side, and two cars that would always be directly together for the most part....

Another "WIP" idea. Fairbanks-Morse style railcar with two work cars behind. Sidenote: A "railcar" doesn't really have the ability to "pull" anything more then a small work car or another railcar. These generally fit two people and are used by work crews to travel the rails instead of using a full size locomotive. They aren't locomotives.
It fits the template size as well... These will be sitting up on a flat car...

The 2 cars next too each other is allowed, this one looks like a locomotive, and there can only be one of it... I think.. you are allowed to work this out but it will look a bit weird, an extra locomotive.. but you may do more carriages as long you keep template sizes.. oh and for the guy who made 2 large carriages, plz save them in 2 images later, that might be easyer..
  My WIP:

The railcar w/ work cars is going to be part of a MOW series of cars that I work on. Those are actually going to be up on a flat car and not on the rails. Traditionally a railcar has different couplers then a locomotive or piece of rolling stock in the sense that they use the old draw-bar style connections that the Europeans used in the early days of railroading.

Also, I don't think the crane and flat car with work shed are "huge" when you compare then in size to say the boxcar. They are rather in scale with the wheelset sizes used on railroads. To put it in terms of size, the boxcar and my three WIPs have somewhere in the area of 18" wheelsets, whereas yours would have 36" or greater!

Edit: So I can't decide what I want to do...Here's another MOW piece - A right-of-way mower...

Oh.. and a modified cupola caboose...

Too many ideas, sooo much time.
