Agh, I just realized no animations. That shot Mrs. Game n' watch in the foot right there. Question: If I want to do the animation I had in mind anyway, should I just submit the piece twice (one still, one anim) or should I submit the still and animation side by side in one piece, and just make a note that the still is the piece for the competition? |

so, umm, this is a female version of the main character on one of my favorite videogames... guess who!
 and i know i'm very bad at dithering, but i guess it's okay seeing as this is the first picture i've actually tried to dither with.

Latest WIP, may actually be the final, unless somebody has some crits? Basically, tryed to keep the Cell Shading style, but added extra highlighting/shading (otherwise I think it would look too dull) and some AA. |

Hi! it`s the first time that i try to do something for the weekly
challenge and i really need your comments to improve my entry  WIP(only the line for the moment)->  yeah yeah...thats mrs Nightcrawler in person (X-men) ^__^ !(sorry for the white pixel in her eye..didnt notice this) Im sure that there` s a million of things that look really wrong so please comments..  Plus i will have to use the dithering thing for the 1rst time( 16 colors is not a lot) ..good luck to mee

A few suggestions- 1) Her left breast is too low on the body compared to the one on her right. 2) Her left knee, left wrist and both ankles seem a bit too thin. 3) 16 colours are plenty. If you actually look at the comics, they're all cell shaded, meaning you could probably do it in about 5-8 colours. Depends how detailed you want to make it  Good luck... |

 She's a street prostitute. I had something in mind where she'd be smoking and flaunting her wares leaning up against a pole, but i'm not really happy with the result for the actual girl. I'm sure it'll look better when I aa, but I want to get my actual shilloutte solid before I go and do that. Any tips? |

Ah I forgot to mention. It's Mrs. Game and watch. The color scheme is as similar as I could pick to the original graphics, coupled with low color count. I'm sure they didn't really use the middle color for aa, but I can't leave those jaggies alone. I'm also trying to fit in a number of little details into the scene that will hearken to some of the old game n' watch games, such as Fire, oil spill, treasure diver, etc. |

The eyebrows and the expression are a dead giveaway. Also, the bra thing reminded me of Heihachi's terrifying mawashi ^^

Thanks a lot pmprog...i`ll do my best to correct all this .I started to colour the face and yeah..i noticed that 16 wasnt so bad ..(just not used to having limited colours) and liked the way the dithering looked so i think that i`m still going to do it! |

Adam, you've made the blue highlights darker than the rest of the surface. If you want to create the effect you wanted, darken the yellows a bit and lighten the blue highlight until it is lighter than the rest of the surface. Since blue and yellow are complimentary, if you want a buffer shade you should use a grey (or desaturated green if you want it to be more colourful) with a luminance between the yellow and blue. |

Heres my entry, took quite a while due to family life (Doh!), but I finished it at last.....
 May I present to you.... Linkette!!Link is a bit of a big girly anyway in my opinion, but here, due to blowing the Kazoo of reverse transgender mutation, he actually is a real girl now!
I am aware that Reo already submitted a Link entry, but I was well on my way with this by then and just had to complete it.
Also I fixed the viewing problem in IE, so now the image is displayed correctly here with full description,
