In this collaboration/challenge, you will be provided with a base scribble. Your job is to make something from that scribble. orbofwisdom thinks this is a good idea and MoD says "Maybe". And later on people can contribute their own scribbles.

Starting Scribble:

Yes i know it's small, but its the first one. The first thing that springs to mind when i look at that is "Witch"

A simple line curve would be better than a closed shape.

Ok, Thanks P_O. I will remember that next time. But please! Feel free to make something from.

revitalizing this thread with another challenge, as it appears that some of you are lacking some inspiration. rules are clear: you can and must work with this base scribble, and create something from it. no limitations exept for this.

Here is my first attempt. Remember, I did not draw the naughty bits... they were there before I started.

I am not used to using Photoshop in a limited palette mode. I would normally use DPaint or PPaint, but I couldn't be bothered moving to the emulator. It should be no more than 8 colours. I dislike Photoshop, this is one of my many niggles. It should be easy to reduce the palette and save as a 3 bit file.

Since this does not show anything except shade, and I did not do the naughty shaded bits, and it is artistic... I would be surprised if this pic was taken down.

Picky. So my conversion software is more than a little flakey. It was actually saved out as a lossless format and then converted to PNG using a little known commercial program I have barely used. Unfortunately, OSX does not have a range of good software. If you don't get down with photoshop and illustrator, you are pretty much... well lets say your arse is sore for weeks.

I could use Pixen, but that is not all too hot either. Strange that. If you copy a crappy interface (Photoshop), you get a crappy interface (Pixen)... who would have guessed? Pixen has the same sort of interface, but strips most of the tools Photoshop has in the process.

If you want to complain more about the tools, then we can have a real discussion about where software has gone wrong in the past 15 years. If you want a real Bitmap file format, there is no better than IFF ILBM.

That looks like a useful website. If it is used by members here, then it should work well.

Thank you.
