add some rusty-ish parts to the metal, some dents, and make sure its a bit of a brownish-like grey instead of grey-grey

for the wood, i dont think its that important to show alot of texture, you should be more worried about your colours and basic shapes.

add some hue variation to the colours, and make them a more red-brown then yellow-brown, allso add some saturation =)

What you have so far is good. Like snader said, make the blade rusty-like add some reddish spots. Take some chips and niches out of the outline, and for scratches, have them one shade darker than the surrounding metal. Also, your shading is too smoothe for an old scythe. Rough it up a bit.

I cant really help you with the wood, though.

I don't think that rust is working. The blade looks way too grainy, and I think it even lost the metal feeling on it.

I'd suggest you to try some smooth blade first and then texturize it with some subtle rusty shades.

This is looking really good! So cool to make a scythe like this. :D

I think the AA on the outer edge of the scythe makes it look too smooth. Maybe take it away and purposefully make it look jagged and rough. Right now I'm looking into wood texturing to work on my totem, so I'll get back to you.

only crit I can give you is it looks like the metal is comming out of the wood, and not attached to it in a visible way.

I think yuo should change the colour of the wood, a bit too green in my opinion, but i suppose it depends what style your going for...

The metal looks much older now.
I only see a few things:
It looks more cylindrical than bladelike. Try making it look a bit flatter, maybe?
Also, the rust looks more like blood. Not a bad thing, (I like it!) but not the effect you wanted.
For wood, you might want to look at some wood grain and try to immitate it on a flat surface before applying it to the handle.
