This is something i fudged together a while ago. I'm not quite sure about the rotation, I may need to work that out more and get some of the angles corrected.

here's the stuff anyways.

Yeah, the cube size changes when it rotates...  Good idea, though

yeah, with some more work, I think i could get it to look good. If i can get the shapes right, i'll start doing something about the shading.

Firstly, you spelled Rubix wrong.

Secondly, I think this could with less of those black lines on the cubes themselves. When dealing with isometric pixelart, it's usually a thing to put a highlighted line on the outgoing edges. Take a look a various examples of my work to see what I mean. Also, the spaces between the cubes could be filled up with a darker colour. Thirdly, there is no light source on the coloured version... why?

Actually, the correct would be Rubik, since the creator of the puzzle was Erno Rubik.

@PB

Well, this was only the outline with some color slaped on. The first post already said there was no shading yet. I'll keep what you said in mind when i do get around to shading the cubes. I've got one in my room to look at, So I'm gonna try to make it look like that.

Erno Rubik (inventor of the Rubik's Cube) became the richest private citizen in communist Hungary in the 1980s. The manufacturer claims to have sold over 30 million cubes.

Someone gave me a rubik's cube for my birthday once. It was one of the ones that only has one color on everysquare. I think they we're trying to say something by it. (all the squares are blue)

Good idea, but the size of the sides does change.
You need some math there - and it will be alright - you need to compute the length of the sides for every frame. The angle of the isometric plane is 26.565 degrees.

Hm, that's an interesting cube, with all sides the same. I bet it's got a message.
