Hi Guyz...Let me introduce myself, my name's Tovan, im from indonesia. Im a newbie in pixel...need your guide please.. I try to make a knight..this is my first pixel art.......I wanna use this as a character in my RPG game. well, actually im still stuck of how to play with lighting, n going further into the detail. And I still dont know about AA technique. Need your input please....Thanx

Hey Tovan. You've got more than a few perspective and anatomy issues. The one that leaps out at me most is the far pauldron (shoulder armor): it's a bit out of perspective. Seems like it's pointing up more than the near one, which is more or less parallel to the ground.
Your lines need general cleaning up, especially the sword and shield. You've got lots of messy corners and crooked, jaggedy lines. You may also want to rethink some of your colors. The BG, assuming it's not temporary, and the red are nuclear saturated, which makes the whole thing look really amateurish. The skin tones, on the other hand, should probably have a great deal more saturation. Lastly, I strongly urge you to hold off on AA until the final step; it will be a big headache otherwise. Keep it up! Looks promising. EDIT: One last color note: pure grays tend to look very dull. Try introducing just a touch of, say, blue. ------------- |
