Hey there, right now I'm working on my new online portfolio.
URL: http://www.darknode.net - www.darknode.net

I would like to know what you think about it so far.
On my "ToDo" list remains following:

complete the link section
spice up the start site
MORE mockups!

While you're in Flash why not try some transition effects when clicking on pixel pieces?  There's some simple stuff you can do that would really add some flavor.

It's actually quite nice, even if a bit plain.
The neutral background color is good enough to not interfere with any of the sprites.
For the start page you can do something like an aeroplane flying past the screen, or some other cool animation - space invaders, etc.
Oh, and you should (if possible) make your e-mail address into markable text so people can copy-paste it.
A couple more layout elements would also breathe life into the site.

Do you have something specific in mind?
I try to keep the size relatively low so...
Hmm... of course it would be very cool to have some little animation for every button but that would take way too much time
But something little and nice maybe a change between b/w and color when you hover over it...
But I guess you mean that the pixelpiece should not simply appear after hitting a button right?

Yes, a simple fade-in will increase the size by only a few bytes I think

Looks real nice, good pixel pieces too :).  I really liked "spring, yeah sure" BG, well done.  Looks a bit empty, could use a footer and when the mouse hovers over the links you should increase the contrast betwenn the when the cursor is over it and when itīs not because I could bearly tell if it was over the link or not. Hope this helps you and I canīt wait to see this in a while.  Keep it up.

P.S you could have a "about me" section too if youīde like. EDIT, Oh you do, never mind me lol.

Theres a lot of good work there: As for the site. I wasn't liking the navigation for a while... It's growing on me though.

Like mentioned, sproose something up a lil. Like a fade-in script, also, maybe increasing the size of it? On my res. It's small, and very plain. It needs something maybe header + footer... Yea, banner power!

I'm also loving the backgrounds, they are awsome. There's also some very creative forms of dithering in some of your backgrounds. My Fav: "Sunken"  -- Keep up the good work

Thank's everybody! Updated it a bit. Yes when I've got a little time I'll try to make a banner. As for the footer: I guess the links could do the job :)
Now I have to do some mockups first and a little something for the start page...

Niss:  Check out movie sites, art/design sites for some ideas for transitions for switching between sections or popping up art. If you need help implementing a transition lemme know.

One thing I might suggest is making the background black instead of grey. This would help the viewer focus in on the main event in the middle.
