For the Year of the Rat comp. I'm thinking putting an http://www.malaysiasite.nl/images/konijn.gif - intricate wooden cutout around it and make it looks artsy.

Hm, this is just a suggestion but how about making the rat itself an intricate wood cutout? Make it look like a low poly 3D model...

Great idea. Here's where I am so far. I'm thinking of adding some form of plant life going up the right side and within it have the Chinese character for the word Rat. Have to do some research to figure out what that character is...

| Looks nice so far. How about some antialiasing? Also the tail of the rat should be a bit thicker towards the end. Rats have pretty thick tails starting off. |
