Quite frankly, the numbers are random. I was sort of throwing in random pixels and came up with them...
Okay...err...this is about 12 hours of work, total, I'd say...based on
my own profile/face and inspired by giger and lobot. ;) I'm really
happy with how it came out, but I feel like there are a few empty
places. I could let it sit, but if you have a fantastic idea, out with
it!

edit: Looking at it against white...I should AA the cords against her
skin [will do] and also they look a bit odd...like they're three
colors. Which is alright, since often these things ARE like that, but
I'm not sure how else I could shade them. (;

can we see the inspiration pic?
she lacks collarbones and the neck appears to attach to the body in the
way that a tube of clay attaches to a block of clay if you just smoosh
it on: that is to say it doesn't look cohesive or "real." I'm also not
sure why you chose to put a shadow around the bottom of the neck, makes
it appear as though it's a separate piece when I think you should be
aiming for a smooth transition from body-to-neck as you have ever so
nicely from neck-to-head.

see how the neck comes down as the trap. muscles go up? see how it's
all, actually, rather angular where the neck meets the body?
here's another link, it's not the exact right position either but it's
a good basis for you to see where collarbones and the lines of the neck
are.

another thing I noticed was the lack of shading on the backside of the
head/shoulders but the substantial shading on her face and
"accessories" (for lack of a better word). It's inconsistant, although
it might be right with the lightsourcing, I'm not sure.

Sorry, no fantastic idea. I'm all tapped out.
Absolutely beautiful. Pixelling white is a great challenge and you pull it off beautifully. Love the expression on her face and the nice blend of the techno cords around her eyes and mouth.

Er...no..since there isn't one. O.o I only used the concept of Giger
combining flesh and metal, though mine's way different [read: less
dark] than his...and the idea of something wrapping around the back of
the head, which George Lucas doesn't have copyright on and definitely
wasn't the first to come up with. (;

Well, I don't know. I'm a bit overweight, and am, in fact, smooth like
this around the neck...my collarbones don't show, it's all soft curves
without any jutting angles. I like that. But the neck is a bit odd on
its left side...I might smooth that out some.

I really don't know what you're talking about, here...

When I looked at the head... wow, that's quite the nuts peice. Err.. that sentence was completely wrong.
Anyways, there's millions of effort in the head, face, and "accessories", but the shoulders are kinda lacking in detail, effort, and perspective. I think.
So I propose you cut the shoulders out, find a fun and mechanical way to cut off the neck (Metal brace with spine below/metallically redone spine) and leave the head floating in a vat. Like this:

And then throw in either a bobbing animation or a blink, cause a blink would be just creepy.

yeah, I don't really want to go "silly" with this. I've sort of fallen in love with it and don't want to ruin it.
And...I've considered adding to the shoulders, but I kind of like how smooth and simple they are...
edit: err. yes, I did make some changes. seems I forgot to post them.

I don't really follow how that would be silly, but do what you want, cause its workin well thus far!
(Oh, maybe the fact that Conan O'brien is hilarious suggested silly...)
-edit- OOH! it IS briEn, I was unsure about that, but ryan hath saved me. Well... kinda.

Conan O'brien's head in a jar... oh god.. it just doesn't get much funnier than that
Conan: Oh yeah? Well I have something YOU'LL NEVER HAVE! A SOUL!
Bender: meh.. oh well
Conan: AND FRECKLES!
Bender: *whimpering* WAAAAAAH!!!

Yeah, I've seen that episode, it's hilarious.
I'm not sure that'd be silly, it might be creepy, actually.
But I'd also appreciate collarbones...
Otherwise it's stunning.

I think it looks lovely blue! The only thing I would add is
something to the shoulders, they look really plain right now.

For everyone who thought the shoulders were a bit dull...I played around some.

old --> new
edit: err...for the record, I really like the scalloped wires, but
don't know about the implant closer to us. :oP I'm also not entirely
convinced that I don't prefer the simple bare shoulders...it looks less
cluttered.

yah, the implant on her left shoulder is not convincing as it is...
first of all it's got no perspective.
second, I think a bare shoulder is ok, but I still insist on having collarbones lol :D

Still not giving her collar bones. (; because I think they're ugly,
first of all, and because mine DON'T SHOW second of all...and I used
myself as a reference. Believe me, after all the comments I went and
checked. Nothing but smooth skin.
I don't think I'm changing anything else, actually...::shrugs.:: I'm
happy with how she came out, and that's the important thing.

You kidding? I love posting pictures of myself. :oP However, I don't
really want to - and don't really have to. ::shrugs.:: If you don't
like the way she looks with no collar bones, don't look. (;

LMAO, it's true folks, in her pictures at Pixel Inc it looks like she collar bone-less xD; Take it or leave it, you all.
I love your work here. For c/c...
The metal plate on her skull, on the (our) left side looks like it could be smoothed out a bit more.
The shoulders... the little cicular thing look a bit TOO circular >.> Er... the perspective of the shoulders make me think that the plug should also be facing towards the right as well... Could I make any less sense? *needs to work on her english* Basically, I think it'd look better if it were at a bit of an angle.
The green wires bother me a bit as well. THey look rather weak compared to the rest of the piece. Perhaps having them connect from our view to the back of the shoulder... example:
Or something likewise :)

I decided to get rid of the shoulder stuff entirely. I wanted her bare, it was everyone else who wanted something there. ;)
I decided this is the finished version:

i love it.......and i thin kthe smoothness of the sholders was def. the
way to go. just brings a bit of elegance to such a techy piece. great
use of whites and grey tones. and the hair is perfect :)

aight, I like it *very* much this way, honestly.
If you don't feel like adding in anything else - that's fine.

sounds like a bit of reverse psychology
Personally, less is more especially in this case. You could easily ruin a good thing by overdoing it. This piece rocks my socks off
