Perhaps a few more could be added: Achilles: Greeks greatest warrior Odysseus: greatest Greek warrior after Achilles, thought of the Trojan horse Prometheus: God of creative fire, created humans chained to a rock and had an eagle eat his liver (for ticking off Zeus). Epimetheus: Pandora's husband, co creator of humans Hecatonchires: Hundred handed, fifty headed humans that threw mountains at the Titans during the war between Gods and Titans.
I think there's more, just give me a while to think. I LOVE classical mythology.

stupid question #1
The challenge says choose hero or god fromg greek mythology. Jalonso's post has creatures in the mix as well. So, my question is...can i use ANYTHING i want from greek mythology or am i restricted to hero/god and the creatures posted above?

We'll let mobichan settle that, but I see no reason why those creatures and heroes can't be allowed. They provide much better options, me thinks.

It is a shame they have to be doing something domestic, because I would love to do this:
http://www.cgarena.com/freestuff/tutorials/photoshop/pandora/pandora_large.jpg
It'll be a fun challenge regardless...

Pandora from the looks of it, that pic seems VERY allowed. The rules say they just need to be doing a 'private' scene, domestic is not a necessity. What your pic represents is very ideal. Go at it i say it's awesome. I would like to see how you do it with 12 colours :)
Considering how things flowed in other challenges they advocate originality and creativity, so i assume anything pretty much goes as long as you insert the mythological being in it somewhere and it's 128 X 90 with 12 colours. My idea is going to be very different. The only mythological thing about mine will be the minotaur.

Well I think the box should be something else, cause otherwise it's just pandora. The idea is to put them in a "chill-out" scene. So maybe if she's opening a toilet that might be amusing. XD Or maybe she could be opening a drawer. :P Trouble is, pandora's one of those types of characters that are hard to recognize without her "box".

My original intent was to get people to make something other than the typical interpretation of Greek mythology as well as add some humor. The idea of making a "chill out"moment was to add another limit so people could concentrate on the idea of the piece. I wasn't expecting people to make steampunk minotaurs or sexy aphrodite pinups, but if you can think of a way to make the viewer relate to that sort of image, then more power to you.
In my head, I guess I see more humorous or ironic scenes of these characters. Like Medusa brushing her hair in the morning or the minotaur reading a map because he is lost in his own Labyrinth. Oh, and creatures are ok, as long as they are decidedly from Greek myth (ie, NOT an excuse to make dragons).
Good Luck!

Just a quick hint: posting jpegs on a pixelart forum is not really favourable. Even if WIPs.

I would pull it away from his face, it doesn't look like he's knitting so much as eating something. Also, you need two knitting needles to knit and you usually hold them like so:

LOL They wouldn't need to hold it that close. I only see out of one eye and it's not THAT bad.
