Hey. I decided to start pixel art, after years of making small 32 x 32 sprites for use in game makers and such, and here is my first attempt so far. I want to make sure I am doing the shading correctly. The face was a piss poor attempt, but I just couldn't seem to get the eyes right. But if you could, give me some c+c. Thanks. |

i would discard the non-Pixel art water layer, unless this is an intended hybrid. and about the anatomy... the colors and the general desing(apart from the mentioned face) are somewhat unnatural... too cartoony for... my taste -?- anyway, when working with anatomy is always good to have a few references, and post them if you're already using them. also, your colors could blend a bit more together... they aren't looking too organic also. perhaps decreasing the saturation would do the job. ------------- I ate leel's babies |

There are a lot of anatomical issues, but since you seem more concerned with the shading right now I'll just echo Metaru's suggestion to use references, and let you decide if you want any c&c on the pose etc. |
