I started this a while ago, but then AOL went wonky, and I couldn't sign in to the forum, so, meh... (Firefox ftw!)

Currently hate the flat colors.

Ref with lines to see the muscles better:

http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j76/MassCat/Pixels/Museref.jpg - This is the original reference (kinda big, feel free to tell me to not link out if you think it's necessary, but please look at the picture first).

Most of the animation. *Is too lazy today*

Palette, with one color missing - aarrgh:

A natural fox (unlike the bastardized floppy eared dog) has erect ears that resemble small cones. The openings usuallly point foreward when at attention.

It doesn't look like your really trying to coppy the refference picture to much. All I can see that you've really followed on it, is the back legs... >.>

also, I wouldn't consider your reference as a good one. mainly due to the weird and smooth-less movement it portraits. there are better pictures of fox jumping on their preys out there, so i would suggest to go and find a better one.

It's very possible I'm being too stuborn. :\ But I think I'm going to stick with my reference, but... >.> Sorry.

Pixel_Outlaw - I don't think my muse's ears can really swivel/turn all that much. :o I've never thought about it, though...

Skull Master - My friend says I don't trust my eye enough. :[ I often tend to take a reference image and...improvise and just kind of use it to see if I have anatomy correct and everything.

If enough of you people bug, I will change everything, but... XD;; Arrgh, curse my stubborn-ness. Blah.

Anyway, update.

Extremely flat colors, which I think are horrible. >_>; I'm keeping the outline intact for now so I can keep my sanity. (I'm mostly a doller. Like many, many dollers, I use outlines. Possibly eventually, I no longer will. For now, though, yes. o__o;) Eventually, the outline color will add to the shadows that are needed and whatnot. *Isn't sure that makes sense*

That's the palette, with the lightest yellow missing because I'm a fool/am forgetful >.<;

Please help? ^^; Even if it is just yelling at me to change my reference and start over. :o Though that would make me very sad. ;-;''

Oh, and I'll add fur texture once the base colors are ... deemed ready/correct. (I did, actually, find my scribbles, too! They were on my main pic where I'm actually doing my work on this >_>;)

Contrast is the key to everything!

Btw, is this a fox or Pikachu?

Aye, I was gonna say that too the colors definetly don't contrast enough.
Also the back feet should be reworked.
I would recommend bending them forward more so they look like they are on the ground while the front feet are up grabbing at the air or whatever.

Redo the shading with better contrast in the colors hopefully it will look better, also maybe try anti-aliasing.
