The eye on the right needs to be moved over 1 pixel atleast thats what I think.  And I bit more contrast on the skin shadow, right now you can't really tell whats going on.

the banding on the face must be taken away. and indeed, eyes could 1 or two pixels lower.

No way guys.
Mikedssx, the eyes are both centred. And it isn't noticeable that the artist wasn't aiming that way.
Metaru, they're already quite low!

I think her hair goes too high. If it was that high, it would need more volume all the way around to look right imo.

I think the anime eyes are horrible, but hey. I'd suggest "(o)" not "(o(".

Keep it up, not bad start. :)

is the hair, ondeed, that is messing the face. when you see such amount of hair extended upwards, you think the head is tilted downwards. but the face is portrayed in a front view, thats why i though the eyes needed to be lowered, to match the hair. so the problem here is not the face, (or the eyes). is the hair who needs to be reduced to at least 1/2 of its current height.

about the eyes, if you were planning a specific expresion with those eyes drawing them that way (o( then the mouth and eyelashes should follow this expression. but if its just an idle, normal face, then you should portrait them in a nomal (o).

Yup, what Metaru said. :)

Now i look at it again the eyes look quite good with a squinting expression. However, this could still be greatly improved by using more purposeful lines. Eyebrows would help, as well as creases below the eyes etc.

hmmm thanks guys.
I cut out a little of hair and made some modifications on face expression...also added some outlines to the hair but not sure its needed there... I am actually afraid of adding any highlights there...always was afraid of making hair

in anime and manga higlights are just there to give more life to the hair.
not that it really follows any knid of ligthsoruce(just an esthetic resource)

almost forgot: pay attention to these shadows at the sides of the lips. they look as if there was some kind of division between the jaw and the rest of the skull, just like in a ventriloquist doll. thats caused by these extra darker pixels in the jaw area
