well im getting apsolutely killed by the community sayin im not good enough and i dont no nuthin bout pixel art (i dont no nuthin bout grammar tho)
so i decided instead of keep swearing and getting annoyed i decided to take the easy way and just get ppl to say im crap in the foru

You should understand that people aren't trying to be mean to you or anything, but rather are critisizing you for your own benefit. Learning from your mistakes is a very important part of improving in anything, not only art. Don't take it to heart. I like to think I am trying to be helpful with you and not 'killin' yous. This face is actually better than your normal lack of contrast. I am perhaps someone who likes your style. It's unique and I can always tell its yours before seeing your name on it. This is very good, no? I do always mention contrast and color selection/choices with your work. Sometimes I can barely see any and have wondered if its your monitor perhaps. Not important. For example, see the face you have bumped the contrast some versus the one on your siggy it 'pops' more but could do even more so. On your siggy the pencil gets lost because the color choices are not the best to make items 'read' well and clear. I have totally given in to your defiance to 'shape forming' and gladly accept this to be your personal artistic choice. Kudos, for that. Me or noone has the right to demand that you be anything but who you are. In PixelJoint or anywhere else. Artistic freedom is what we all seek and you be you, always. However, technical specs and help is to always be encouraged and accepted. I just can't ever understand why you at least fail to 'see' the points made to you that are given to help you get better. You keep trying and trying and you certainly enjoy pixelart because even with all the 'killing' you come back to life and make more. Kudos, for this too. Its the reason I even care about your work. Its clear you like it. The contrast issue which is actually a definition issue is simply something to make your work more appealing and interesting. I do hope you cross this hurdle so that I can once and for all, a year and a half later get into lineart refinement which I've been saving so as to never 'kill' you since I admittedly do stalk you. I am almost positive that only I admit your work to the gallery. Sometimes quickly so no other Mod sends it back for revision. I do so because its only a matter of time till you cross this hurdle. I very much admire your perseverance and dedication. You have improved over the last year. This makes your work, to me, cool and as good as anyone else's. While this is my way of being the opposite extreme is zygote and his way of being, yet we both say the same exact thing and are trying to make the same points. Nothing is personal. Keep at it with the same vigor you always show. I do respect you. ------------- |
