I'm working on a game called, "Handy man" and so far I am mucking about with character designs. I have one in my head for a character that is inspired by Mario, the Engineer from Team Fortress 2 and general plumbers though when I go to create him in paint, he doesn't just feel right. I don't know if it's his hat or...and I think he should be fatter.

Any tips? MUST be very basic style.

portip: don't post zoomed images, the forum has an integrated zoom scrip wich allows us to zoom in/out images.

Also don't save in the JPEG format. I would say remove the open spaces in his hat, make it all white, and the strap doesn't look right.
