CHALLENGE: Flower Power-ed

Challenge winner ../../../../p/6236.htm - tomic , challenges you to pixel a flower or flowers as being electric.
Think of sunflower lanterns, Tulip lampshades, household plants etc., be creative.

colors: 32 max.
canvas: 256x256 max.

CHALLENGE RULES

Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

This is what i have so far.

It's a electricity consuming Plant.

Still need to add the electric part and finish shading the rest.

I'm doing a venus fly trap that uses a lightbulb like an angler fish, no one steal my idea

I believe I am finished with the still frame, apart from the fact that I'll probably try dithering the sky. Tomorrow I'm gonna have a go at animating O.o.

I may edit the flowers a bit as well.

But the flowers are like battery. They provide electric charges that give the building power :)

But anyone, I submidded my work to the weekly challenge but I won't appear in the archive..

Do I need to fill in how many colors I used? And how do they count the colors? Just every color, or doesn't a darker version ( shadow ) count as a appart color?

It's not yet approved. You don't have to fill in the colorcount, though if you do then count all different shades.

Does it have to be like, a flower specifically producing electricity (or being turned into) or can it be any 'plant'?

IE Trees, or Fungi. (note that some trees do produce flowers)

Also, and this is directed towards everybody, a flower being implied as a battery source does not portray it being electric or producing electricity. One must be more creative than to place a flower on top of a machine or some such nonsense.

The purpose of these challenges is to incite creativity and imagination - it is not a chance to 'cheat the system' or find loopholes.

so does the plant need to be the electric devise or does the devise need to look like a flower? example: a lantern that was made to look like a flower? or a sunflower that faces downward that has certian cemicals the make its centar glow giving it the works of a ceiling fan?
