Ref image?
AA where the underside meets the blue.  You're using plenty of colors, but not utilizing them as well as you could be.  You've also shaded the top and bottom halves as if they were different surfaces.
I'd make the inside of his mouth darker, and fix all the jaggies.

I'd say it's referenced, rather than traced.  Which is fine, but doesn't really help you improve as an artist much.
Mostly I was hoping the original image would help with the critiquing process.

SAKJHWUIERRAUIVBM?

WHAT?

Reference is great. As far as I've ever understood, everything you draw is either something you've seen before or a distortion of things you've seen before or a combination of things you've seen before etcetera etcetera. Reference helps an artist build their visual library, and anything an artist creates is based off the things in their visual library, no?

Ah, but if you have one image you're using as a reference, you don't need to understand how to convey forms you remember and know from study of life; you just need to know how to copy the 2D shapes you see onto the 2D canvas you've got.
