Came up with an idea, for a character, who can control the earth due to his sword having mystical powers.

One thing, i'm struggling with is the hair, i can't seem to get it right.
WIP, for anyone who wants to see it :D

c+c would be nice, and maybe some comments on how to do the hair ;P

Well, I think his head looks like he's moved it forward, like he's angry. And the line between the torso and the legs is too straight I think.

And.. i'm not sure about the legs, them being straight etc.

Yeah, I think his left (our right) leg is bent the wrong way. maybe move the ankle and foot to the left?

Thanks mate, i think i understood what you meant..

I also added somewhat of a belt, to divide the legs from the body, instead of a line.
Not sure if it looks ok. ::EDIT::
Edited the hair Looks ok, or not? -Quake

I started out editing and I got way too carried away and ended up completely redoing your character.
Here is some pretty harsh C+C:
-The pose is stiff and also ridiculous for a warrior. A wide leg stance gives the character stability when fighting but this character is obviously not fighting because he has his sword resting on his shoulder. If he is not fighting, why would he stand in a fighting stance? Using this logic I changed the characters pose to be more relaxed and comfortable.
-The shading does not define any of the forms. You need to spend more time doing basic exercises in showing volumes and forms.
-You need to know about anatomy before you can attempt to exaggerate it. I know you were probably going for a chibi style character but your character is deformed to the point of hardly being recognisable as a human. Even chibi characters are based on real world anatomy. For an example of someone who does chibi very well I suggest you have a look at http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/5286.htm - ben2theedge's gallery .
The problems with this piece were there right from the line art. You need to spend more time on that stage before you begin rendering. Good rendering will never make up for poor line art.

Awesome edit, Akira.
You've probably taught me the most, i have on Pixeljoint so far.
I'll take your edit and C+C into great account. Thank you greatly. -Quake
