nice AA ing on the outlines, i dont like the amount of contrast between
the light and dark skin colours.. dunno something abou tit mayb just me -------------   |

His skin looks a bit too yellow won't you think? I love the series of Samurai Jack and watched it all the time so I think the skin could be just a tad lighter. Another thing - I'm not sure about his neck being so much forward. (What I mean is it's position, making his head being more to the front) Maybe make it closer to verticle but still keep it that way. I've never really watched the show, but I think you've captured the style quite well, especially in your smaller sprites. I'm not really sure I understand why you've changed the perspective of the head from the third sprite to the larger profile, because it worked so well in the smaller one. I googled up an image of Jack, and the main problems I can see with your profile pic is the proportions of the face. You've handled them perfectly in the smaller ones, but lost something in the transition. His hair line is quite low and requires a divet, and the chin should be a lot larger. His ear should also be a little higher and his mouth should be closer to his nose. Here's my edit:
I can understand why you like pixelling in this style, its quite addictive, and I don't even watch the show. Tell me if my edit has been helpful or not, and keep it up! I'd love to see more from you. |

| I've only seen the first 2 or 3 episodes, but from what I remember, istvan's close-up edit looks more like jack. The rest of them look pretty good =) I would love to see what comes of it |

Yep, iST's close-up looks a lot better... Kickass work on these sprites Bear! I just looked up some screenshots of a Samurai Jack game for GBA, and in my opinion, your sprites look a lot better than the ones in that game  ------------- |

Still doesn't look like Jack to me. The face is way too wide and the jaw is not squarish enough. Also, Jack's eyes are wider and with big pupils.
The hair also goes longer above the ears. Anyway, here's my edit:

something about the right sleeve facing backward view seems unatural i've seen the show and im sure there not that big, could you reduce it by a few pixels? also the last edit looks the best in my opinion ------------- "you sunk my jangerjam!" homsar |
