I like the new style....my twin doesn't though XD

Different colour Palettes. Why?
The second one seems to have matching colours with the Blues there, are could easily use a few colours from the first cutting down on colours. Thats your decision though.

My fave out of all of these is the second last one, I just love the pose and feeling from that piece.

May I ask what this is for? or is it just to see how your style has changed over 1 years time period?

yeah, it's just to see how much I changed really. and the different palettes is more just me trying to get better working at making new palettes from scratch, since i tend to reuse them from old pieces over and over

started on the 3rd one too

The 2009 versions kick the absolute sh*t out of the 2008 ones. Whatever drugs you're on, I want some... though I get the feeling I should be asking Souly. There's a definite Souly feel to the characters.

Ys, very good. Not an overly large fan of the overly large hat, but all else is pure success.

The quote of the year!!!

I love the hat on the first one being bigger but it seems out of scale 'at the head' not the height, that's cool.

ah, i'll fix that then

also im getting the feeling i made the fat guys legs too detailed

I say not, because the focus of attention on the fat guy is the belly (were the eyes goes naturally first). Unless you make the shirt show the bellybutton, or add some interest there, then the detailed pants balances things off and will make the hand not stand out too much...

...imho :)

Great work on the leather jacket detail, I really like it. :) You should think about doing animations with some of them. :)

2007 versions:
well you've probably realized all of this already but the contrast on there eyes is to high. and the darker colors around the outside wrecks the sprites.

2008 versions:
well i would say that your line art could be refined rather quickly. as you can still see overlapping pixels on your black outline. and from there i would say having blended outlines on them would really help.

the fat guy is good, the last one hasn't been finished yet, the second guys gun looks as if it was never finished. the first guys just needs work with its outlines and all of that. and the third one i would say needs to have a bit more shading overall and needs to have finished fire on his hands, or what ever it is suppose to be.
