The face is probably the hardest part. You've already got that down. Don't give up now.

| As others have mentioned, try to avoid dithering smooth things, like face and clothes. It ends up making it look grainy. Dithering the bill is a good idea, but otherwise, do cell shading. You could try doing lines instead of dithering, that may create the effect you're going after. |

| I don't know what material the bill is made of but I think the dithering gives it a much more textured and interesting look than flat colors. With flat colors I think it'd look plastic and fake. |
