I'm basically linking the animation I already uploaded to pixeljoint,
but one of the comments said I should post it here for more feedback,
so that's what I'm doing.

There we go.
I'm happy enough with the movement, though I'm thinking about making
another two frames, to a total of ten frames, because this is for an
adventure game and should look smooth.
What I need help with are the colours. They are rather simple here, and
that'd do, but then I think they are too simple, or the composition is
kinda whack. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, Maestro.
Oh, one more thing, I'm not working on this piece at the moment, I
decided to get all the characters and animations done first so our
coder can start doing his thing, and I wanna go over it later and
perfect it. Well, improve it at least :P
Thanks for commenting!

You're right, thanks.
I refrained from doing that at first because he is catching the keyboard, but it should go a little farther back.

Mhm, did you resize the anim when looking at it?

his elbow onj the front arm moves around, and the arm in the back bends backwards(like a broken elbow)
allso he moves his legs forward very rapidly, followed by scraping his other leg over the floor to bring them back together, after which the other leg shoots forward.
its a combination of him constantly tipping over forward, and him sticking out his leg not to fall over, combined with a zombie-esque legdrag

Ah, I see it. Yea.
The drag is good, because this guy is an Internet addict. A gamer who
hasn't seen the sunlight for seven months, you get the idea. The
rapidly bringing the leg forward is exactly where I would add another
frame if need be. And apparently that is the case. About the elbow,
mhm. I don't know. The hand flaps backwards, but that's because the
elbow is sideways towards the body, if you get what I mean. I kind of
liked it, d'you really think I should change it?

i wasnt talking about the hand
hands are sulimely animated
but the arms look really weird, so ill add a example of what i mean with the broken back arm:

red=bad green is good

Ok, here are two characters that our Jan Key here will have to interact
with. One of 'em doesn't have arms yet, and I'm not too happy about the
actions of the other guy, but they are temporary, more kinda slapped
together to have something to put up here.

They are already telling a little story.
And I'm working on the walkanim of Jan, I'm using two more frames and it's a bit hard, or will take some time at least.
C&C appreciated!
Edit: I'm noticing more and more that I'll have to get Jan an a little more complex shading.

Very cool work...
It reminds me of old games like Day of the Tentacle... Ah Nostalgia !

Oh my god. I just love the design of that thin guy. Perfect!
But that fat guy reminds me a bit of Hitler, only in a fat form...
Maybe make his legs a bit shorter and like more dissapeared under his body, uhmm. Ah well, maybe it doesn't need that, legs are ok. Maybe its the big head what gives a bit wrong effect, maybe its too big. And something is wrong with the nose, its a bit flat and maybe it should be rounder to give room for mustache.
Very retro style indeed. Maybe I even have to re-make my graphics because right now I seem to be a little obsessed in old DOTT style :D

Whoa, thanks for editing, I'll definitely looking into that! Man, so awesome, you got the face just like I wanted it to be.
Too bad I saw this too late, because I already started a little animation:

But as you prolly noticed, I don't have a clue about AA, so you're
really helping me a lot. I liked the buttons on the shirt though
:( :P

Allright, so I finally got my sh*t together and finished that walkanim. It's as good as it gets I think.

C&C is still appreciated of course, I am still thinking about the
shading though, in other words, it's more about the smooth- or
correctness of the animation itself.
Should there be shading?

np :D, yah the hat is perfect now i think, i fixed your AA'ing and
tried to go what you where thinking of the face, worked on the pants,
should just be pure black instead of having some blue in there, it's
kinda random, anyways i just fixed it up
yah too bad it was too late and you already make the animation, also on
the guy with the keyboard, that is rad i love everything about it! you
gotta awsome style, keep working on this!

there is just one little twitch left in his front arm, when he is going back, his shoulder stays still for a frame, but moves 2 pixels in the next frame, how bout just making it 2 1 px steps?
