So I'm working on this fairly big piece of Jenifer Hudson-It'll be about 200x500 pixels when finished. I'm not completely satisfied with the face though-  I'm really trying to make fairly realistic and I feel that theres something off about her nose and maybe something else too but I'm not really sure what that is or how to improve it. I thought that I'd give the PJ forum a go since you guys give fantastic critique in the gallery. So yeah. Any relines, whatever are appreciated. Pretty much everything except palette size critiques;) I'll deal with that later, lol

thanks in advance

the new project I'm doing at the same time:

I think this one has some anatomical issues but I cant figure out what they are- I'm willing to change anything about the body but I dont want to touch the face/head. lol please ignore the hands for now

ok I did a rough edit, not sure if it actually looks any better but I checked most of the proportions and the are pretty close for the most part.

ok I think the chin needs to be slightly longer.  The mouth is slightly wider.  The top lip is slightly thicker.  The nose is slightly wider.  The eyes need to be slightly higher.  The eyes seem a little too diagonal.  And the eyes seem a little to close to the side of the face.  These things are only a few pixels off.

well a huge improvement, even if I though first version was really ok.
keep it on

PS: correct img bbcode.

It's a good likeness, I think that the nostil area is wider in the picture and her top lip is fuller.

Also, the jawline looks like it extends a little too far, though hair and ears might help put that right :)

God, sorry it took so long for me to reply- I couldn't find the topic again for the longest time- and then I realized there was the search engine. Duh,lol.

Anyways, I made the minor adjustments suggested and I think it looks noticeably better. I started on the rest of it- not sure whether or not I will cut it off at the waist... (btw I know the head is too big- I kind of tend to draw heads a bit bigger than they should be for some reason- I think it looks kind of good, lol)

I dont know if I should make another topic for this or not, but I'm working on another project at the same time and I think there are some anatomical issues, specifically around the head/shoulders area but I'm not sure what they are...If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd be grateful :D

thanks elk!

So I'm thinking maybe there weren't any major anatomical issues surrounding the area where I thought there were but I'm still a little iffy on the right arm

Maybe you could make her neck a little bit longer.
But it's amazing, and I'm sure the hair will hide any issues you are having and, oh my GOD, that dress is unbeliveable! look at that! gorgeous!

I agree with Susu; lengthening the neck would probably fix the issue. <3

Really, really great work. Again I agree with Susu: that dress is awesome. 8D
