I don't want to do this but i have to ask, What animation?? You failed to even say what you want animated.... .... . . Here i decided to give it a try I don't know if it meets all of what you wanted but it has "animation"  |

I didn't mean it had to be animated, but if someone wanted to they would be welcome to. I was initially looking for a main character that was from Mars to be placed in the game. Later while working on the title screen, i thought it would look nice if there was a small Mars icon (animated or not, it didn't matter to me) that could be placed on the title screen.
If there was someone who was willing to help me out, i would be glad to put names/credit at the end of the game. As a "contest", the winner (for alien design) would be awarded the iTunes card. On first read i thought that you wanted a alien character, and a sprite sheet for the alien. So in total you were asking for three to four days of work and were gonna give whoever has the best one 15$.... All that work would be worth way more than 15$. Now that i understand what your even asking for I will make you a couple of aliens. HERE::  I'm not sure what you mean by HEXCOLORS, are you talking about the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_colors ?? The sprite are not in webcolors but you can recolors them.. that's not very hard.. |

These are great. We have to wait until July 25th to judge the contest.
By HEX colors I ment #ffffff is white, #000000 is black, (Thats what Flash and Photoshop use.) Here is a Hex table example: http://johncfish.com/bggallery/otherchart/hextable.gif |

Colors are colors. that hex system is a way of naming your colors. Asking people to use hex colors is a weird question.

Saw this thread, decided that challenge is interesting and, what is most appealing, is quick to participate in (only one character 32x32). Nah, it's just an excuse to draw alien girl! Definitely will not be chosen to be main character in any game. Best viewed on black bg. |

This isn't at all what you were looking for but I wanted something that reminded me of District 9 entered. Unfortunately, I noticed that my 10-color 32x32 piece doesn't look very much like what I was going for, but I've also lost interest in tinkering on it. So...here ya go. ^^ |

Hey guys,
I was working on the game and pulled one of the submissions into Flash to test my ActionScript. Unfortunatally I discovered that Flash converted all the colors in the image to it's default swatches (It didn't look much different but I still wanted to let you know). I was thinking about converting all the submissions and posting them next to the originals in case you wanted to make a revision to your entry. I will also post the entire pallet from flash as a color reference. Sorry guys. |
