Very cool WIP but I, personally, couldn't imagine a wolf making that noise. Also the rules say it must be original so I don't think this would qualify... Anyway, I have a couple of Ideas for this comp but I might not get a chance to do it (work, ugh  ) |

So you might be able to do a twist on a wolf, but not just a wolf. I could be wrong however so don't take my word for it... |

Original - What Justin said. It must be your own creation based on your interpretation of the sound. it's ok to base your creature on a wolf, but it should still be distinctly different. In fact I would really discourage people from taking an animal and modifying it a bit. I think the more original your creature the better. And I can assure you no one will tell you that your entry doesn't fit the rules if you make something really out there. My suggestion is to listen to the sound on loop for a bit, just to really familiarise yourself with it, then do some brainstorming/sketching. ------------- |

@Ergg - I'd rather not have any robotic 'creatures' in ths challenge, but I guess some kind of robot/animal hybrid is ok if you strongly maintain the focus on the animal aspects. I definitely don't want to see any full out robots/mechs/machines etc... Just keep in mind that aim here is to design your own living, organic creature. @ekobor - Fits the sound nicely; I can really hear it Wilhelm screaming now :) @oren - Looks good so far, but where's the rest of it? :s And why such a blindingly bright bg colour? Remember, you do have another 5 days to complete this... ------------- |

@skamocore - idk..but the BG is suposed to be like that because he's kind of screaming and it adds it the frame effect,idk how to explain it but,i like it the way it is :P and the body,i don't know why,i didn't want to do the rest of his body,it seems nice like that,isn't it? |

Anyone can enter as many times as they want. @oren...aww c'mon...give it a nice background...where is he - in a jungle? sitting on a fence? On the moon? It is nice, but I think it would be even nicer with the rest of his body. His body doesn't even have to be birdlike, he could perhaps have the body of a fish or a mongoose. Why not at least try making the rest of him? You might even surprise yourself with the results if you just push yourself a little bit further. ------------- |

I have a question: The edit to the rules say that "the purpose of this challenge is to depict a creature that makes the sound of the Wilhelm Scream as oppose to depicting a character who is shown as making this noise because they are in agony." Does that mean that I can't have the creature that I'm working on getting his finger pricked by something pointy? I'm asking this because I had an idea of a way to make my entry funnier. @dpixel: It just looks like a mouse to me... the rules require it to be more original. |

@Justin - it really should be the sound your creautre generally makes and not just a creature making that sound due to being in some kind of pain. The idea behind this challenge was to transform the sound of the scream into something out of its original context. So it defeats the purpose a bit if the Wilhelm Scream is just transformed into the sound of another animal screaming. ------------- |

@Justin - I know it just looks like a mouse. Actually it looks like something between a shrew and a mouse. I posted above that I was looking for suggestions. This won't be entered the way it is now if at all. I put it here in the WIP section for some ideas cuz I dunno. 2nd head? Longer body...then it becomes weasel-like. I just thought shrew cuz they scream..and then work from there. Should have done the band of animals thing..lol ------------- |

Since these are my last days in the countryside, I decided not to spend them pixelling. No way. So I'll just give my ideas to anyone interested. 1- This creature is a predator, incorporating features from its preys, and luring its next victim by imitating the sound of the last one. | nickoledion made a tv show called real monsters. i was expecting to see a character like that in here. even know you would have to make one of your own version of there characters to make it qaulify, i was expecting more of those kind of entries to be honest. :( |

The opacities are not different though. Just larger amounts of white in some than others (if that makes sense?) I don't think copy paste is against the rules? I could go ahead and make three more rain drops of different sizes, but in the end it would be extremely similar, and a waste of time. No matter how hard I try and take my mind off of it, all I hear are the sounds of Storm Troopers falling from platforms, Boba Fett falling into Sarlacc pits, No-Faced villains falling from scaffolding, puppets getting shot, robots getting shot, and every other disposable being disposed of. Surely a combination of all these things would embody something completely more bizarre than a humanoid creature if combined into one big lump of a monster, yeah?  Ok, I'll keep trying. |

I think red is okay. That way you dont use a whole color ramp just for the penis.
Maybe you could make an orange tail and penis though. I donno. Looking pretty cool anyway. Maybe you could give him some golden balls too =P ------------- |

I dont think its needed. Now you just need to work on your shading, so it shows the shape of the thing. Right now you just have light in one side and dark colors in the other one. Read that apple thing on the noobtutorials thread, I think it explains what I am trying to say. ------------- |
