Right... I hope it's not considered naughty to post two WIP topics for one person on two different things, but as you guys are the high council of pixels, I have a another problem.




This is a kind of spine-potion fluid-powered lightning-zapper thingy.
The problem is, it looks like it's not properly in perspective all the way down, particularly at the spherical part.

I tried to avoid banding by breaking up the outlines a bit... should I be doing this at the lineart stage, or later on? Can anyone help me make it look a bit less spindly, but particularly tell me how to make the metal bits attached to the sphere look like they actually are in perspective? Thanks in advance.

Are you trying to do isometric? If so the circles are too short.

If it's not iso, the base of the handle should be closer to the viewer and the shooter thing further away.
