huh, cool, i didnt know that, i didnt necissarily make this as a monk, its just that i named it that because the robe looks like a monk robe and i suck with naming characters, eventually i will proobably come up with a name for him and change the title to that at some point
In the middle ages, it was not uncommon for priests (I don't know about monks, though) to go to war alongside knights so that God could lend a hand during the battle. However, they could not cut people, so the use of swords or axes was strictly forbidden.
Because of that, they only used bashing weapons. Apparently, they were not allowed to chop someone's head off but it was totally ok to smash the skull of their foes.
See why they can only use maces in certain videogames? It's not without a reason.
