I've visited lots of Japanese personal websites lately, and it feels like so many people have cute doujin for download, complete with forum banners and everything. It makes me so jealous. I want to make a little pixel novel and figure making a simple Ren'Py one would be fun. Maybe if I get good at project management and artificial pixel art limitations, I can make some "real" games, too.
Even if you are ready to program and make some assets, there is an overwhelming amount of game design decisions for a total newbie! I made this little faux mockup gif to get my feet wet before diving into the serious stuff.
