A TRULY SPLENDID hello to you, ladies and gentlemen, and I rather handsomely welcome you to my very first palette called the AAP-64 — a color palette that singlehandedly blows away both the NES and Sega Master System palettes in spades simultaneously in terms of both versatility and ease of use!  So if you definitely want to delve headlong into the brave new creative where both 64-color palettes and phenomenal-quality pixel art are concerned, this one is quite especially for you!!!  (^-^)v !!

First debuted originally on October 9, 2017 on Twitter, this 64-color palette by Adigun Azikiwe Polack covers a wide spectrum of colors in one go, making sure the color ramps are as natural and smooth as possible in the transition from one color to the next, especially in the fade-ins and fade-outs from within the confines of this very palette alone as well (see the “Color Fade Chart” above for more info on how this is done!)... all while balancing the saturation of the colors in order to make them all as much easier on the eyes as possible — especially the greens and purples, which were really, REALLY difficult for me to do, let alone even pull off!!

Plus, this exact palette is so carefully and thoroughly crafted especially for use with natural materials, such as sand, rock, skin, wood, tar, mud, grass, moss, you name it!  In fact, check out the main picture above for the amazing samples of what the AAP-64 can actually do when it comes to what you can do in creating such materials using this palette alone... you do not want to miss it!!!

And best of all, you are MOST FREELY WELCOME to use it in your own sprites, games, and any new pixel-art creations that you so richly desire indeed... especially in your own indie-/retro-game titles, also!!

To begin, the best and most recommended place to snag yourself my AAP-64 palette is on the official LOSPEC palette-description page covering it right here, where it became the very first 64-color palette EVER to successfully reach past 1,000 downloads on that site there alone, and the second (2nd) palette of *any* color amount overall to reach that very same milestone right behind another great palette called EDG32 by ENDESGA, which is a rather brilliant 32-color one that you should check out for yourself as well!!!  ;)

In the meantime, with an overall total of 64 colors on my AAP-64 palette, please enjoy it richly... I look forward to what amazing-quality pixel art you can create with it!!  Go for it!!!

Excellent palette. I'll definitely use it, once I get around to actually make some new pixelart. :)

About my own AAP-64 palette, CritiqueMyWork, all of the 64 colors that were made for this one were carefully, thoroughly selected and custom-created simply by my own hand, of course.  And it was all done without any of it being generated by either a computer or any program period, too.  ;)

Excellent comment from you, by the way, and thank you so much for the interesting question as well!!!

Correct, jackhummer.  Quite yes, I am the very guy who first created and authored my own AAP-64 palette, since the full initial work on it first began a little more than a year ago, around February 2017.    And so I thank you for the wonderful comment and that I did truly a great job on it indeed; splendidly appreciated!!!

During this palette’s early infancy, it started originally as a 48-color one... but then I eventually stretched it out as having 64 colors total in the end, since I wanted a lot more balance, sheer versatility, and overall color variety.  And, seeing as this was my very first palette I have ever, ever created in my entire life, I had to do just that while making all the colors themselves particularly a whole lot easier and readable to the eye, in terms of both saturation and more especially the hue as well.  It was quite a rather challenging — albeit a completely rewarding — process indeed, I gotta tell you for sure!!!  (^-^)v

And that is *exactly* the absolute case with my AAP-64 palette, wasn’t it?  Now, here we are.  ;)

This is great. Do you do this by hand or this is generated by the means of programming?

Ooh! Than you're the guy who made this palette. Grat work.
