I don't think it's illogical. It just gives it more of a cartoony/fat-kid-running vibe. . It's great! I'd love to see more mockups like this and the jumping one.

I tried to make it oposite, but it looked terrible:^) So I decided to choose this one. Although this version is illogical, it's more attractive and dinamic

In a person the legs and arms alternate when walking or running. I don't know if you intended it to be different.
