you all know who this is, right? That funny old shark from that kickass comic strip? i tried a different approach with the outer AA for this edit, i'm using darker colors so that it will fit better with any backround.

to admins: did i get the transparency to work?

are you seriously trying this again?  this piece wins the award for most times revised.

do not resubmit this again until you make a wip thread for it AND actually improve it.

a just plain white background isnt going to cut it.  i am getting really sick of explaining this.  adding a line isnt going to work either.  make it a scene or something.

you're better off NOT tracing anything at all. Why not try perfecting your own art before ruining your chances at some form of originality? I mean, it's okay to do fan art or emulate a style but to trace an image altogether and pass it off as your own whether you state the reference or not, is pretty much degenerating to yourself and others in my opinion.

if the background "serves a purpose" then add something to it.  i will not accept this until you either learn inner aa, or have an actual background, not just white

i got my reference from sherman's lagoon official site

reference source? I know this wasn't drawn from scratch by yourself. Your skills prove otherwise. Plus the background is redundant.

Im terrible at AA'ing,  but i know that it isnt meant to make the lines look super thick....

But the shape and colors are all there =D

I think this could benefit from a nice WIP topic. Your aa has some issues in places and it lacks a finished look. You could even be so ambitious as to recreate the whole comic strip or a panel of it.
