I'm sorry, but I just looked up the Earthworm Jim game, and easily found a sprite that is a dead on ringer with yours, from the GSA sprite archives. It's animated. Here's the link:http://www.gsarchives.net/snes/earthworm_jim/sprites/animated/Jim_shoot_gun_right.gif
I put yours and it side by side, and noticed that they both basically share the same shape and stance, and basic form. Your version, however, looks a little more sloppier. To be honest, it looks as you copied this sprite from somewhere, may even be from the link, pasted it on to whatever pixel program you used,and tried to draw another version side by side, basically replicating it. It's kinda obvious when you put the two together, they are EXTREMELY SIMILAR.
I don't know how exactly it slipped by the mods, being that it isn't exactly a direct rip, but it does pose a question to your character. I also do see that you responded below in your post, that you did use reference to the orginal Earthworm Jim games. But it begs the question: Did you actually USE the reference, or draw anything your self? So please, in the future, try creating pieces that are of your own creation, not pieces that are knock-offs, basic replicas, or hand-drawn copies of another person's work. You'll never learn, or get any better from doing so.
