Thanks will keep that in mind. I haven't done pixel art in quite some time :'(
Need to get back on the horse sometime ;) (so to speak) Your suggestions are right, when/if I do rework this piece I'll take them all into consideration.
It's not that small. :P Something 32x32 pixels might be better, or maybe even as small as Final Fantasy sprites.
I don't like his helmet rim all that much, since there's an odd seperation in the middle when it comes to the lightest tone. I think it could have some better AA to transition. More so, I think there could be white shades on the gray to better show high lights.
You could even tone down the amount of colors he's using. The belt buckle, and horns could just use his skin tone. Granted, you don't have a lot of colors being used, but you could still decrease the number. In any case, I think reworking the belt buckle is in order since it's shades are very vibrent compared to everything else.
His chest also lacks form... even though you shaded it, you didn't shad it like there's a body under it. I think adding a white tone could help with that, and maybe even giving some uniformity to the armor, since it's looking random right now.
It's not that bad though, it could just use some adjusting. :)
